M.I.A. video is intense
Sun, 2010-07-04 02:24
M.I.A. Born Free video is one crazy short film. This is NOT for the light of heart. Some scenes are very Rated-R (sex, violence and mature content. just the way we like our music videos).Enjoy. Directed by Romain Gavras

Tyson, WTF are you talking about?
Sat, 2010-07-03 02:28
Mike Tyson is a legend. Dude is like Michael Jordan of Boxing. The Michael Jackson of Boxing. The Ron Jeremy of .... you get the point. But what Tyson isn't, is a person who drops knowledge. Here Mr. Mike talks about graffiti and how he never understood the concept of someone "hanging a thousand feet in the air" or getting killed from "falling off of buildings" for the sake of graffiti. Also, calling graff "Literature" is not making you an intellectual. Then again, I have more spelling mistakes than a serial killers confession note, and frankly I am on your side too Mike. We don't understand graffiti either. That's why we blog about street-art!
First Breakdancer - From NYC!
Fri, 2010-07-02 12:26
I don't care who talks beef about where Hip Hop started, but there is PROOF that the headspin and head stands and other floor work in the breakdancing "book of moves I will not pull off at my current age" was started in New York City. This video, released by the Library of Congress shows an arab street performer in 1898 busting out some moves. Can someone seriously lay some old Tribe Called Quest beats over this video??

He is getting some work detail on it including getting lowered and some internal work.We pick it up tomorrow (better photos will be taken then) Here are some pics from the visit we hit up.P.S. Shout-out to William!
Shai hits up Venice again

Some more handpainted wheatpastes by Shai in Venice, CA. Unfortunatlly, by the time these photos were taken the next morning, seems like a couple of them were already destroyed.
* The pigeongun wheatpaste above was not handpainted. The other deergun versions were.
